Capital Punishment

My view on capital punishment is quite simple. I think it wrong and would never support its introduction.

Fortunately it would now be impossible to bring forward legislation to introduce this.

In a civilised world there is no place for murder, either by the individual or the state. In fact cold bloodied state murder it could be argued is much worse than an act of murder in a heated exchange. I certainly wouldn't want anybody to kill on my behalf. I know there are sometimes popular public support for it's introduction, but my thoughts are clear. I would never vote for it under any circumstances.

Furthermore, there is little evidence that state murder acts as a deterrent, or does anything to reduce crime.
