BSF Bid & What Next
Thank you for all your support throughout this campaign. I have said much in my regular blogs.
As you know the BSF bid failed because it was not deemed 'Ready to Deliver' as required by the government and Partnership for Schools. County Hall will have to go back to the drawing board and perhaps talk to us all first this time.
I attach below the Minutes of the Meeting I held with the Minister about why the bid failed. It is important you know that you are not to blame as Cllr Parsons and Onethroughschool campaign would have you believe. They have attacked me and you at every opportunity when the fault lies in the quality of their bid - not with us!
By working together we can get the best of both worlds as I have always said.
Thank you again.

Please Back Option 'C'
A group I pulled together have created a viable Option C which we hope all those who want to save Garendon & Limehurst will want to support. We need everybody individually to write to County Hall during the consultation period to back this call for a third option. It still needs further detailed work and discussion but it has widespread support amongst the schools and governors.

School Reorganisation Petition
Andy Reed MP said:
We call on Leiecstershire County Council to offer the parents, governers and staff a real choice of options in the reorganisation of Loughborough schools. We ask that Limehurst - described as an 'Outstanding' school - be included in the provision of education on the east side of town in such an option. We also urge further options for parents to consider at Garendon/Burleigh be brought forward in the formal consultation.
