MP in Talks Over Future Rail Services to Loughborough

Andy Reed MP this week met representatives from National Express – the front runner to run the Midland rail Franchise from 2007 – to discuss what constituents want from their rail operator.

Andy Reed praised Midland Mainline on being the most reliable service and explained that station improvements and better car parking were the top of the list of concerns raised by constituents in a survey conducted by the MP.

Reed said:

“Existing rail users are clear about what they want in Loughborough – better car parking facilities and an improvement to the station. I know we are working toward this with the Eastern Gateway project – but I felt it important that National Express are aware of the demands of their potential customers and will build this into their bid to run the services from 2007.”
