Sileby Regeneration plans and Village appraisal

Over the years I have been involved in plans to manage the process of change in Sileby.

Already we have seen responses to these, with the opening of the #1.5 Million Oaks Business Centre, with new housing regenerating brwonfiled sites, with flood alleviation programmes and the opening of a new Social Centre.

There are some parts of the appraisal which became a bit of a 'wish list' where an element of realism needs to be cautioned. For example the question of the swimming pool needs to be explained to villagers. Basically there appears to be about £40,000 available from previous fundraising. This is about enough to run a moderate sized pool for about 6 months!

(I will add a line by line analysis of what can and can't be achieved from the Appraisal from my experience. I believe it is best to make sure people have information available and not to promise more than can be delivered.)
