I have received a number of lobbies on this Bill - nearly all from the same briefing materials circulated by organisations like the EA Premier and the Christian Institite.
I am afraid on this issue I fundamentally disagree with much of their misleading information and the arguments they make.
I have added links to this site to the debate which took place in parliament and my own comments are on the news pages.
I don't believe that the problems they try promote will in fact happen an that with the right wording it is possible to set a pretty high test for incitement to hatred. A similar law exists for racial hatred and the religious hatred element already exists for Jews and Sikhs so I am at a loss to understand why some opponents believe it will be any different.
