Traffic In Villages

There are numerous traffic problems in the villages of my constituency.

I have been leading or helping campaigners in villages like Wymeswold, Burton, Barrow and Sileby to make improvements to the local roads or to slow down traffic. The sheer volume and speed of traffic in Wymeswold makes the A6006 a priority for action.

In Burton the local road is simply unsuitable for the volume and size of lorry trying to use the village as a short cut.

In Barrow there are a number of sites where local residents are quite rightly calling for measures to reduce speeding.

The same is true in Sileby, but there is an added problem, especially along Cossington road where parked cars make it difficult for people to navigate their way around.
